Hi all, As I raised in another thread, SCUPS offers a Doctor of Science in Management of Engineering and Technology. I like many of the core and elective courses they offer in this program. Question: After looking over this unaccredited program, do any of you folks know of a completely DL accredited alternative to it? Thank you,
Look here for the PhD- http://www.ncu.edu/university_information/dpro_spec.asp?degree_program_code=phd-ba&dpro_id=20&dp_version_id=5&dpro_section_main_id=59 and here for the DBA- http://www.ncu.edu/university_information/dpro_spec.asp?degree_program_code=dba&dpro_id=17&dp_version_id=5&dpro_section_main_id=38
Randell, I appreciate the NCU links. I'll check them out. Randell, I see you're a PhD student at Northcentral, a graduate from MS-ITM program at TUI, and you’ve earned an MBA from CCU. If you don’t mind, I’d like to ask you how you feel about your over-all learning experience at NCU? And how that compares and differs from your training at CCU and TUI? And finally, of the two latter schools, which one do you feel you got the most out of, and which one best prepared you for your current studies? Thanks,
I really like NCU. CCU was mostly read the book and answer the questions (pick answer A,B,C, or D). TUI was read an article on the web or some other link and write a 5-10 page paper. CCU prepared me with knowledge TUI prepared me with paper writing skills and critical thinking. NCU is a blend of both. Read the book and write 5-10 page papers using knowledge and critical thinking. Of the three, I like NCU the best.
Randell, I appreciate your posts. This last one really motivates me into taking a serious look at NCU’s DBA and PhD programs. Thanks for you help.
If you end up filling any NCU paperwork out please tell them you were referred by Bing. I get a 10% discount on tuition and a $100 referral fee. Well, just making a funny here. It's the kind of thing some are expecting of NCU on the forum, though.
10% off tuition and $100 Bing, If they would give you all that just for my filling out a few papers, what’d they do for you if I were to actually enroll? ...grant your cat an MBA from their sister school and allow kitty to transfer in all 36 credits towards a doctorate? Just kitten around! Although, from what I can tell, it's the kind of thing some around here might anticipate. I hear transfer between these schools is fairly seamless these days. That’s according to the unaccredited stepsister anyway.
