What does ACICS stand for? Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools?

Norwich is RA and RA is superior to ACICS.

Some RA universities do accept Nationally accredited credits/degrees and many do not.

Nearly all of the for-profits do, (UOP, Capella, Walden, CTU, AIU, Argosy).

I know that other members have compiled lists of schools that will accept NA degrees and I am sure they will contribute to the thread.

I misread firstmodes's post. I thought that he wanted to know whether Norwich is ACICS-accredited or not. Yes, like you said, some RA schools accept NA degrees. The best thing for him to do is to contact Norwich University directly instead of relying on second-hand information. Perhaps, Norwich accepts NA degrees on case-by-case bases. Many schools do.

I am sorry that I misinterpreted your post. You should contact Norwich University directly rather than rely on second-hand info. You never know.--- perhaps, you might be accepted. Many RA schools do so on case by case bases.

    thanks for the info.

Well, the bachelors degree in network security and forensics is an NSA certified school, they offer 4 of the 5 NSA certifications upon completion of the program. They also teach classes and offer the NSA IAM and IEM certifications on top of the 4 certs you get when you complete the program.

Since Norwich is also NSA certified I think if I went to them with all 4 NSA certifications, a bachelors in Network security and forensics and the IAM and IEM NSA certifications I believe they would take me. I just gotta go and talk with them I suppose.

I will be done with my studies and ready for a masters in 1 year adn 8 months, so I will probably talk to them in a year.

    firstmode4c,
I think you are mistaken. You do not get the certs. Those four "certs" are awarded by the NSA to the university, not you.

You are correct about the IAM and IEM certs. You take the classes (more like two day events), then take an exam. (Very cool by the way. I am looking into the IAM class/ exam, then IEM)

I also believe Norwich would be glad to have you. I seriously doubt admission would be an issue.
