Are their any program which let you take classes and coursework at your own pace?

I am not sure if there are any undergrad or Grad programs that have a setup like this. A school that has no definite semesters, start dates or end dates, but at your own pace.

Oh yea! and are any of these programs IT based?

I don't know of any undergrad programs since I have been concentrating on grad programs. The University of Alabama has the program below that is not specifically IT but has some technical aspects that would lend themselves to other areas and is self-paced within some limits.

Univeristy of Iowa has a Guided Independent Study program where you have nine months to complete a course at your own pace. You turn in assignments and do tests when you are ready. The program guided independent study program is for a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies. Very good school.

    Take care, Abner

    TEKMAN Semper Fi!

LSU has 9 months to complete the course plus extension.

University of Indiana has 12 months to complete the course plus extension.

However they don't offer degree; except General studies.

You should apply to Thomas Edison State College, Excelsior College, and COSC...then take classes at those two school plus previous member's reply.

Lets not forget the board fav ACCIS. All course work is at your own pace and the degrees are IT based.

There are more of this type than can be listed here. In addition to those listed above, BYU and Texas State University @ San Marcos have a nice selection of courses for a reasonable price. There are also quite a few that offer full degrees in this matter. Adams State, for example, has both a nice selection of course and degrees. Judson College in Alabama offers it courses as "learning contracts" that give the student a set of required tasks to complete within 6 months (it's a women's college, but offers its external degree to both sexes).

Wow, Thanks for all the replies. I am looking into those programs later for a second bachelors or a masters.
