I'm checking back in with my fellow Harvard ALMers. How goes it?

The new semester has begun. I've bid adieu to the wife and any semblance of a social life. I can stare only for a moment out the window at the city revelers on this Friday night.

I feel of the world but not in it.

There is a sense of relief at having turned in a assigment a few minutes ago (11:58pm) that was due at midnight. The relief is shortlived as the next assignment has been posted.

    Back to the world.

    good-night fellow travelers...

Another Friday night with last minute deadlines.

This is really starting to blow. And we're not even at midterms yet.

UoP is looking pretty good right now.

I would be very interested in hearing examples of the types of assignments that you have been given in the ALM program. Would you mind sharing a couple?

Yes, I am very interested in hearing more of their curriculum also. I have two years to go to finish my B.A. but I am considering Harvard ALM as the next step.

TescStudent reporting in. I recently withdrew from what would have been my 7th course in my ALM in IT curriculum, but still hanging in there. It's tough going, but I just remind myself that I'm 6/10ths of the way there.

Honestly, I think this is fun. I must be some kind of masochist.

I don't know what kind of inhuman people actually graduate with an ALM in IT, but I would not recommend this degree program to people, unless they're really sick. ALM in IT is so bad that while I was taking it, I enrolled in a master's program at Brandeis University in order to try to give myself some distractions to dull the pain from Harvard. I'm breezing through the second master's program like it's nothing, and I'm already further ahead in that than in the Harvard curriculum - when you're dragging an anchor, you don't notice the weight of a knat landing on you.

[The sound of Dool coming up for air...]

I just got back the result of one of my midterms...

    A-

The exam was on a subject I know well. Very well...

    A-

The exam tested material that I've studied, designed and implemented for the last decade...

    A-

I'm considered an expert in this topic. I am paid handsomely for my thought leadership in this space...

    A-

I would be more than annoyed except...I wonder how my classmates ended up.

I wonder what your teacher knows about the subject that you do not know...... oh well, I guess that is why he is a teacher and making a lot less than you....
