Has anyone received credit for computer certifications from COSC? My reading of the website says that they give credit only if earned at specific locations, but I would be happy to be proved wrong.

Well it looks like you get college credit for Comptia certification stuff. COSC just sent me a form for verfication from comptia for the A+ certification I have.

You get creditas for Microsoft, Novell, CompTIA. They follow the same credits system as Excelsior (they actually use Excelsiors system).

They only offer credit for classes taken at New Horizons in CT even if you do not pass the test for certification. I have taken classes at New Horizons in FL and I was told that COSC has not evaluated every[]u] New Horizons, just the local CT ones.

Bottom line- they offer credits for certs and credits for classes that lead top certs in the few CT schools only.

By the way, I got credit for my MCSE - NT 4.0, MCP+Internet, and A+.

Aahh, thank you both for the responses. They are quite illuminating (and helpful).

What if you sign up at New Horizons/Connecticut and take their online class option?

    Concentration limit

Also, you cannot apply more than twelve credit-hours to your concentration from certifications. I think you can have any overage as electives, but am not certain, since I only had twelve total.
