    Hi,

has anyone got experience with applying at Univ of Illinois @ Springfield for MIS prog?

I did apply for coming Spring term on time and am still waiting to hear anything from them. The calsses are scheduled to start from 10th January.

Other then that if someone is currently studying there. I would like to know a little insight abt:

    - Average workload/course (how many hrs/week)
    - Level of toughness of the courses
    - What GRE/GMAT score u had to get accepted
    - Quality of content and communication with the Profs/Staff

Thanx for anyone replying. It sure wíll be a great help for me....

    regards

A little disappointed with tech support

Although the course load is not too bad, they have not worked out all the bugs in the system. I registered for a class but when the class began, I was told I was not registered They are very slow with paperwork.

    WH,

depending on what you want to do with the degree Marist has a more managerial focused MSIS:

    http://www.marist.edu/compscimath/isms.html

More expensive than UIS but in my opinion has a better reach for upward mobility.

As an aside I had considered the UIS program and it seems well structured just a different focus than Marist.

    Regards,

    Kevin

    Hi there,

Thanx for the Link. I had a look at Marist website and didnt like the Prog for 2 reasons:

    - Its a College not a University. (being a State Univ, i think UIS is better known option)
    - The Marist prog is Maths lasted. I am looking for something more Business oriented.

The response from UIS so far is slow and i also have the impression that they arent very quick and organized. Seeing all this i am rethinking of my decision of doing a 2-3 years long commitment with them.

    regards

    WH
