Just wanted to post an update if anyone is interested. Here is an answer to my question from CTU that I received today:

"Thank you for choosing CTU Online to help you meet your educational goals. All of our degrees are conferred through our ground schools. Therefore, your diploma will state: Colorado Technical University, as well as your official transcripts. I hope this addresses your concerns. "

Of course AIU students were told the same thing. You might want to search up the posts concerning it. Good luck.

    AIU Diploma

The AIU diploma does not have “AIU Online" it "American InterContinental University" under that it has” Illinois ". I suspect CTU will be similar. I’ll let you know when I’ve complete my final 3 classes.

AIU's diploma never noted that it was an Online degree.

The transcript, which I consider more important, did. However, as a response to the discussion on this forum, AIU changed the transcripts. From AIU - Online to AIU - Hoffman Estates, IL.

    AIU-Online

I recently graduated from AIU with a BIT, this past October 2004. Sadly I have to report AIU has changed their diploma format. No longer is it a tasteful 11 X 14 inch printed diploma, with raised type and shadowed text, and no mention of On-Line anywhere. As is my Associates diploma from AIU. The new diploma is 8.5 X 11 inches in size with flat text, no shadowing, and it says On-Line in the AIU crest. It also looks like it was printed on an Inkjet printer.

I complained to all the AIU staff moments after I received this crappy looking diploma. To my delight they did get me a new diploma in the older format. My replacement diploma looks both professional and does not say on-line. So my advice is; get it in writing. That’s what I plan on doing if I go with CTU next year.

I'm curious as to the rigor of the courses at either Colorado Technical University and/or American Intercontinental University? They seem very accelerated-two courses every 5 weeks.

    Any comments appreciated. Thanks
