Well, Excelsior once again changed their web page. Now you need to sign up in order to receive information.

I signed up yesterday and today I downloaded the official catalog from their School of Tech and Eng.

According to pg. 41 you now need Calculus I OR Discrete Mathematics!!

So for those of you that already completed Calculus but never took Discrete Mathematics ... (like me :) ) it looks like you won't need to worry about math courses / exams!

I was pretty happy to see that, but upon closer examination, it looks like they may have linked to an out of date copy of their Technology catalog. I would check with an advisor to be sure.

    PSS,

Did you check this with an advisor? I would like to know the answer, and also if CLEP Calculus would qualified as CALCULUS I.

    Thanks.

You will want to check with an advisor. I think its just that they have not updated the technology catalog...

There still is a requirement to have two math courses; but now you have additional choices:

    - Discrete Mathematics
    - Calculus I
    - Calculus II
    - Statistics
    - Quantitative Methods
    - Linear Programming
    - Decision Support Systems
    - Logic (from either a Philosophy or a Mathematics department)

Also, I was told that CLEP Calculus would fulfill the Calculus I requirement.

    Thanks,
    Pat F.

I have just sent an email to the Excelsior technical degree advisors asking them to check. The requirements listed in the .pdf copy of the catalog don't match what's posted on the website, which still indicates a requirement of Discrete Math AND another math course.
