If anyone is interested in this college I really do recommend it for people who want a majority of their class work to be technically, electronically, or IT based. I know ITT Tech has a bad rap, but so far I really do enjoy it and my teachers have been very knowlegeable in the fields they are teaching. Here are my experiences so far with the college. My AS in CNS from ITT was a waste of 2 years and a big chunk of my GI Bill money. Let me explain: for those who want a quick degree that is heavy on technical aspects, that would be good. For those who are interested in pursuing other degrees, ITT's accreditation is their handicap. You don't have many other RA univesities that would accept the degree ( I was stuck to only be accepted by UoP for on-site master's). So, that's my take on it Good luck with yours.
It is all good, I plan on going for my bachelors and moving into one of the many many IT or engineering positions at US cellular. THey hire heavely within the company and do accept degrees from ITT, Tennesse Institute of electronics, and many others. With the way that the job market is in the IT field, I would rather stay with US Cellular as they have a fantastic 401K, fantastic pension plan, Many different locations all over the country, and 100% tuition reimbursemnet all the way up to the Master degree level. THey are very liberal with their program also and accept most all schools and DL programs for tuition reimbursement. I know that My degree will have clout within the company as long as I do my job well and am qualified for the position. I cannot pass up an opportunity to be able to continuously keep earning college degree's and College credits for free from virtually any school also. I only owe them 1 year of my time from graduation time with the company to not have to pay the last semesters money back also. I do not think I would want an ITT degree if I was going to go on a job search as it may not be respected as much as other schools. When it comes to IT though, you really have to pass the interview process and many many questions and on the spot quizes during these interviews about IT hardware and software packages, etc before someone will even take a person seriously for an IT position. So I know if I work hard and learn a lot, my degree will be my way into the interview to where I can show them my stuff. I am really interested in continuing my education at Fort Hays with the Information Networking and Telecommunications bachelor or Master's degree, so I am excited that US Cellular will also help me pursue another bachelors or a masters degree in the future also... I am going to take advantage of this 100% tuition reimbursement thing!
