Do any of you know of any schools that offer assembly language programming through distance learning?

    Greetings.

Here are some links -- NOT recommendations -- that may, or may not, be of interest.

    1) Ohio University (http://www.ohiou.edu/independent/)

N.B. BOTH of the following are CCEs (College Credit EXAMINATIONs), NOT actual courses!

ETCH 236A: Microprocessor and Computer Basics
    http://www.ohiou.edu/independent/desc_sht/etch236acce.htm

ETCH 236B: Microprocessor and Computer Basics
    http://www.ohiou.edu/independent/desc_sht/etch236bcce.htm

    2) Thomas Edison State College (www.tesc.edu)

    COS-231 - Assembly Language
    http://www.tesc.edu/catalog/course.php?CourseCode=COS-231&sem=

    ELD-311 - Microprocessors
    http://www.tesc.edu/catalog/course.php?CourseCode=ELD-311&sem=

    3) UNISA/Technikon SA (http://www.tsa.ac.za/welcome.htm)

    DIGITAL SYSTEMS II (DIG221X)
    Includes PIC16C84 programming.

    DIGITAL SYSTEMS III (DIG331Q)
    Includes MCS-51 programming.

    Enjoy!

    Cordially,

    Dear "oxpecker",

Greetings and thanks for the input.

Every now and again I'll look for Assembly Language related college course/exams and I've found them to be about as common as hen's teeth. I don't suppose you know of any 80x86 related courses that award upper level credit? They needn't be elementary, and I'm willing to be flexible with my definition of "related". Even a non-distance, upper level course would be of interest (for possible portfolio related use).

    Best regards,
    Richard Kanarek
