    Hey guys,

This post is somewhat like a poll (except there are no choices... well, there WILL be once I get a couple of help from you guys) also because about a year ago, I *almost* went to University of Maryland University College for their Management Information Systems program but I went back to my home country so that plan was temporarily put on hold.

I also remember quite a few guys here having mixed opinions about the MIS program at UMUC so I would like to have your opinion on which college do YOU think has the best MIS program.

Money is not an issue because my tuition will be reimbursed by my employer.

Also, I am going to do my part by doing a search on this site and also by spending at least 4 hours a day reading EVERYTHING. You never know what you're going to read in each thread.

Thanks in advance guys and good times!

One more thing... since I've been away for a few months, I lost track about the current IT trend here. Are companies still offshoring jobs? Is it still *worth* pursuing a degree in IT? Any info (or links to certain to certain info) about the current trend here in the US will also be greatly appreciated.

    Alright, guys...

Best is a hard term to define. But for educational value my vote goes to:

    First:

    Harvard: ALM in IT

    Second:

    Marist College

    Third:

    Capitol College

several other programs exist that offer good class mix. I base my opinions on what I believe would best prepare an individual for CIO type work. Programmers and skilled trades will continue to be outsourced as these skills must be kept current. Management will stay in house as it is crucial to the overall success of any organization. While the Harvard degree is more technically oriented I doubt that anyone could dispute the value of the degree for your upward mobility.

    Happy hunting....
