Ha anyone ever heard of these guys? There seems to be very little information that I can find out. A google search turns up a lot of hits, but other than links to their own blurb, no rea info. confused:

MO State approved. They do not offer degrees though, only certificates/diplomas. I'm sure if your goal is to learn something, you probably will but it has no academic relevance and I doubt an employer will recognize it by their name alone. They seem to be along the lines of New Horizons, except online (http://www.newhorizons.com) or something like that. $7k - $8k, you might be better off getting BS degree from one of the big 3 in IS/IT or General Studies with a concentration in IT for that kind of money.

I saw that they were only offering certificates, heck I can get certificates. I was just concerned that there seem to be any info anywhere on the net, other than links back to their own info. Personally I would steer clear of these guys.

What are the big 3, out of curiosity? Not sure wher I'm going to finish my degree of at yet, it will probably have to be either DL or online, I just applied to a job in Mannheim, Germany working for a defense contractor. And judging by the number of positions open overseas, i shouldn't have many problems. (10 yrs USN, 4 yrs IT/Electronics)

Thanks for the info, by the way.

The "Big 3" are commonly known as 3 Colleges that primarily offer degree programs by Porfolio Assessment, CLEP Testing (Testing Out), and/or Credit Banking, i.e. "I'll take my classes where I feel like it, but I'll transfer them all to one place..." in addition to distance learning classes. All three schools are Regionally Accredited too, which will have the same accreditation as any typical residential college that might be near where you live.

    The schools are:

    Thomas Edison State College (www.tesc.edu)
    Charter Oak State College (www.cosc.edu)
    Excelsior College (www.excelsior.edu)

If you do a search on the main discussion board, you will find many posts on the subject. A website to check out is:
