    Hi,

Recently I came across a program that is MSc. in Information Technology and Management (From Sheffield Hallam University). What I would like to know is
    1. Opinion of forum on this kind of program
    2. Any other university that is offering similar kind of degree

Sheffield Hallam is also introducing MSc. + Industry certification which is very appealing to me. As an example they have a program in which you will be awarded MSc. with SAP certified consultant. Unfortunately this degree is not online. Does any body know other university that offers similar degree in DL?

    Kindest Regards,
    Ather

I'm currently enrolled at Colorado Tech in the MSM-IT (Project Management emphasis) program. I'm on campus, but the program is also offered via DL.

Program is 11 courses and takes about 17 months if you go straight through. I've completed the 5 PM courses, and just started the IT portion and have been happy with it so far. 2 classes in Networking, 2 in Database, 2 in System Analysis, and 5 in PM.

Not cheap...on campus, classes are about $1400 each when you figure in books...not sure what the online pricing is like but would imagine it's similar.

    CTU Online

Colorado Technical University (CTU) has several programs that may interest you. Most of their programs award certificates after a certain amount of classes have been successfully completed.

I'm enrolled online with the Master's (MSM-ISS) in Information Systems Security. My first class is awesome, so far :) 14 months to go!!!!

They do have a MSM in IT Management also.

    MY 2 cent

    hello, Aiqbal

I was also looking a similiar program from Illinois institute of technology they offer a ms information technology and information technology management. The ciricculum looks to be geared more toward it managment but the have enough structual it classes so that it could also be recognized as an it degree also. I think this kind of degree no matter where you get it is going to lop sided( meanning that for example you are going to get more information technology training than information technology management training). I believe your best bet would be to talk to someone in the IT department of the school you considering to see where there main focusof that degree is going to be because if its both than that is going to be at least a 2 year program more like three. If you want to look into this school this degree is offer on line and the school is well respected and regionally accredited.

Did you take a look a the MS in MIS offered at the University of Illinois at Springfield? It was being discussed in this thread. If you are interested in an IT/Managment Combo degree, this looks perfect. Also, the tuition is really cheap since DL students pay the same rate as in-state students.
