Touro U has changed their BSCS program a little bit. It seems like there is more math, some engineering science classes and a couple of the comp sci courses are different. It actually looks more like a computer science degree now.

yes I noticed that too. It makes me a little wary of TUI though.

Why? I would think these changes are positive to show they are attempting to mirror a more traditional BSCS program.

well.. it seems things are changing on their website kinda like on the fly. Click on the new courses you will get an error when you want to see a description. does not reflect a true reputable institution.

etech ... what's your real beef with TUI?

Seems no matter what they do, per you,
it's not the correct step to take ...

Are we to assume you are the expert
as to what every school should do or
being doing ... to meet your standards?

Or are you simply being a troll? B-)

I noticed this too, Etech. I wouldn't sweat it (these changes seem brand new, so they probably has links to their older courses).

It looks good to me. If it was a little cheaper and I wasn't so far into the Troy State program, I would consider it.

wooooo! take it easy I am not expert in anything (not in education atleast... yet). I know nobody likes anything said about their school, I wouldnt either. But its a fact TUI is having trouble, even though they are correcting it and I never said these are not the correct steps. When did I say that ? I was considering their BSCS earlier and after the issues, I am not anymore.

It was something that I noticed about the courses on their site and wfready noticed that too.

    cool it

How dare you utter remarks that are adjudged by TUI students to be somewhat critical of their beloved college? If this betides again, you'll be devoured alive. TUI is the best DL institution in the world! :D

    Hmmmmm...

I don't know, I can see all of the new courses. Maybe the problem is with your computer?

You can see all the new courses in the BSCS program?

Perhaps my computer is broken too:

One or more form fields were empty. You should provide default values for all form fields that are used in the query.

This is what I see when I click on engineering science I and II, and linear algebra

Why would assume they are going to lose their accreditation? Do you think this is the first time in history a school has been placed on probation?

With TUI being part of Touro College, do you think they will lose their acceditation?

Touro University International is a branch campus of Touro College (NY), which is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. At its session on June 23-24, 1999, the Commission on Higher Education for the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, acted to include Touro University International, a branch campus of Touro College, within the scope of Touro College's accreditation.

    hey,

That great ! I always liked that program and have recomended it until lately when I found out about it accreditation problems. It seems to be taking a step in the right direction and this shows that it wants to be taken serious as a major contender for online learning and I think that even better. I believe the changes were due to suggestions and not something they had to do just to make there program stronger! I think they should be back on there feet before the end of the year although I will hold off on recomending them for a while so that I can see what direction they are taking. If evrything works out and I can find some way to pay for it I may consider taking the computer science bachelors myself someday !
