I have 30 transferrable credits from another college and a mcse and mcsa that will get me 12 credits according the the Excelsior College website. I was on the bain4weeks website, i like the business degree path, is it worth it to get a CIS degree at Excelsior College?? If so, what different classes do i need to take? should i wait until after i completed more clep/danta exams until i sign up??
I also have sort of similar credits and am looking into CIS degree. It basically depends on you, if you are interested in Technology degree then go with CIS. If you like Business programs then go with Business degree. CIS degree has more math requirements whereas Business programs would have Accounting and Economics requirements. Some courses would fit in both degrees, you will have to study the requirements for each. Also check out the MIS degree at Excelsior.
Speaking of Excelsior's MIS (not CIS), does anyone know if computer certifications are accepted for credit?
yes computer (IT) certifications are accepted towards MIS as free electives. In CIS they will count towards core requirements though.
