What do you guys in the electronics industry think of the MS in Electronics and Computer Technology from Indiana State? What would a degree like this be good for?

It seems to be a more technically orientated than other programs like MS in Technology Management. Would this type of degree be considered for positions such as "equipment engineer" or "systems engineer" or would you consider it to "applied" to be used for a technical engineering position? If so, would it then apply to more of a project management position?

Is anyone enrolled in this program? The only other program I have seen from a US university is ASU's MSTech degree (which only has an environment concentration online, but has different engineering technology concentrations).

If I were to continue with a graduate education, the MSECT seems like a good choice for my background (have experience in electronics and am studying computer science).

The goal I am trying to obtain is to stay in a "hands on position"; however, I don't want to be in my field for 20 years and be some guy that just fixes things all my life. However, If I just pursue a management or business degree, I feel like I will trapped my self into a management position that keeps me in a cubical.

    Best Regards,
    Bill
