I'm about to apply to the MS in Info Assurance program at Norwich University. I would like to get some comments before I commit $21K for the 18 month program.

The info at the website sounds good. A coworker who attended the B&M has said good things about the school...So far I've seen nothing negative...A quick search on this forum didn't turn up much info...

Anybody know anything about this program. It seems to match up with what I've been working with over the past 22 years.

I am very curious about the program too. In fact I sent for more information and recieved a responce in record time 1week infact. When I opened the package I was pleased to see that I the content where laid out neatly in a folder and they clearly took some time to prepare a excellent presentation! From what I hear the have been approved as one of the best campuses to teach Information by the NSA that is not easy to get and they a major provider of homeland security in the united states the creator of the cissp certification has reviewed and approved the program I really like this program! the part I really like is the trip to vermont in the beginning of the summer. This is the only program I know of that does this the school reputation is impeccable I having heard anything bad about them yet and the fact that there program is only 18 months long and fully accreddited really draws me closer to this type of program ! And they boast one of the highest retention rate in the industry un heard of 90% wow! I am still loking around bu I definetly think this school is top notch !

    I looked at their MBA...

and was impressed. It appears to be a quality institution. They have a military academy so they would have a lot of contacts in the government as a lot of their alumni are officers whom are either still in the military or have moved over to civilian government service. I elected another school solely on price. It was $18K compared to >$7K. You would not be making a bad choice IMHO if you went with their program.

You saw some of the same things that attracted me. I've been working with alot of the things mentioned in their course descriptions and am anxious to get started.

I thought I would ask here to see if any others are either enrolled or are have had experienes with the program, good or bad. I'll give it another day and see if there are any other comments.

    Chris,

I did note that they have a corp of cadets and attract lots of military (I'm an LDO...) I'm counting on the connections, also ;>)

I'm probably going to go for it...Can't beat the 18 month program as mentioned by codekiller.

    I am retired Army

I got a discount from Touro because of that. May want to check some other schools who advertise in the Navy Times (you said you were an LDO) many of them do that. However, again, Norwich would be an excellant school.

Touro would be an excellent choice because of the price but the Masters in ITM is not exactly what I want. I inquired and was offered the 'military' rate, also....However,...

I'm pretty convinced that Info Assurance/Network Security is more along the lines that I want to go...

    Like I said...

you can't go wrong. I have seen some other programs in that area but I believe they were more than $18k.
