What do you guys think. out of these which one is better for degree program. I mean in terms of college reputation, cheap tution fees and being not 100% online college.

    Touro International - BSCS
    Jones International - BSIT
    AIU - BIT
Any other College (preferably low fees ?)

I think its better to go with a college that is not 100% online and has a traditional campus also, but its only my guess.. comments ?

Personally, I like TUI. They have a division with a medical school and a law school (Touro College). There is no cost for books, everything is on the CD that has the course.

The staff have been great and I am very pleased. I am working on courses 4 and 5 of the 9 total classes needed for the MS-ITM. I am not sure of the cost of all the schools listed but I think TUI is the cheapest or at least competitive.

yes I communicated with TUI earlier and they were great in responding, even on the weekend !. Also the staff is very good to deal with. That is my first choice. The only thing is that their courses are 4 credits each. So more cost but in turn I guess I will have to do less number of courses ! BTW, how was your study at COSC ? did you do tests or transferred most credits from prior study ? Did COSC degree helped you in getting admission in MSITM ?

I would like to hear from others on some of the other Colleges that I have missed and shoud be looking at.

The TUI classes are 4 credits but you only need 9 classes for the MS-ITM.

As far as COSC, I had credits from Mircosoft exams, Army training, about 30 credits from traditional classes, and over 70 credits from CLEP, DANTES, and ECE exams.

I could not have gotten into TUI without the COSC degree because CCU is not an RA school.

    Good luck.

    well ,

AIU is a great school if you dont want to deal with all the unecessary crap and just learn what you need for your job !
I faster that the other degrees you llisted and from all my research has a really good reputation even amonst most bussiness's. the only thing a bout a accelerated program is that it is accelerated and it can be very difficult if not impossible to adjust to if you cannot learn at a fast rate. I takes a lot more disipline to learn how to program in 5 weeks as opposed to 10 - or 15 weeks in other programs. Needless to say that the amount of confidence that you gain from a program like this is priceless.
Tui looks like a great school also . one plus is that all the books you will need for your coarse are availble online so there be no added charge there and all of the classes seemed to be up to date. The only thing I wonder about in there bachelors of computter science is that they take a bussiness oriented approach to computer science and I am not very clear on that. The reason is that is a information technology degree does which in my mind makes this degree just a stronger Information technology and not a very strong computer science degree. But I could be wrong ! I was also interested in this degree I would like to know more about it from some one enrolled in the program. How long is the program at TUI any way?

more schools to check out with excellent reputations all have great bachelor programs

*University OF Illinois online * expensive*

    *RIT Online
    Drexal University
    Umass online
    Baker online
    Bellvue university online
    Strayer university
    Capella university * expensive*

From the class outline, the BSCS program from TUI does not look like it has a strong business approach. The BSITM program does look very business focused.

I got material from TESC. They want $2000/year (or $4000?) as I remember. Not sure what does that include. I think all exams are not included. That makes TESC very expensive I guess. Does anyone have any more info on their fees requirements and whats included?

Other option is Excelsior but they dont have any online/DL courses. I will have to go to other institutions for that. It may turn out to be expensive also. Does TESC and Excelsior have better reputation than say AIU or TUI ?

AIU seems too accelerated. with full-time job it will very difficult. I will send all my prior learning info to TUI and see how many credits they offer. And yes TUI is BSCS with less focus on Business so it looks ok

I will be graduating soon from Gibbs College (www.gibbsnj.edu) (owned by careed education corporation, which also owns AUI(which i do not want to attend)) with an AAS in Computer Network Administration. Does anyone know if TUI accepts credits from instituitions accredited by the ACICS? What other instituitions could i apply to that may accept some transfer credits.

    Etech,

TESC's comprehensive fee (a little over $4000) covers the exams as well. Depending on where you are creditwise, that is, and how fast you are able go to, you can complete your degree requirements within a year.

    My two cents.
