I've been looking for math programs as well, but have had trouble finding a DE program that offers a coherent advanced math sequence much less a degree or certificate. If you come across something on your own pls post your findings.
the mode, So far the closet I have ame to a online math program is community college. They offer an associates degree in mathmatics but I had my experiences with the community college system none them good ! but for some of the classes they do offer online classes that is somewhat helpful. But the quality of those classes just like the rest of there classes are seriously in question. I will continue to search for online programs other than the community colleges but as of right now that the only one I have.
Greetings. It isn't a certificate, and I'm not sure it's online, but it is math related: http://www.unisa.ac.za/Default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=222 Cordially, Richard Kanarek
The closest I've found are masters in math with a teaching option at: Texas A&M Univ. of Idaho Related to this are masters in statistics at Colorado State Rochester Inst. of Technology Columbia does have a cert in applied math. However, you're looking at $3,000+ per class. Very expensive. http://www.cvn.columbia.edu/Registration/Certificate_Programs/APMA/apma.html There are some other options overseas, but it's hard to find explicit information on those from their websites. (I believe that others on this site have mentioned undergrad math degrees available from Excelsior, TESC, etc. Worth checking out or doing a search) I hope this helps
For anyone still interested Charter oaks offers a degree in mathmatic Im not sure what classes you have to take but they do offer a degree in mathmatics !
CodeKiller, Well if you include assessment institutions: COSC (like you said) has a BSGS in Mathematics Excelsior has a BS in Mathematics as well I believe TESC has a BA in Mathematics The problem is finding those required upper level math courses. There are several of them if you look at Excelsior's distance learning database; but, I have a feeling you may have to do a couple in residence somewhere (I could be wrong of course). Best Regards, Bill
FYI: I ran across this distance learning mathematics program at University of Illinois: http://netmath.math.uiuc.edu
The University of Southern Queensland offers a post graduate diplome in math. It is designed for students with a bachelors degree in other subjects who need an education in math. http://www.usq.edu.au/handbook/current/GDMA.html
Also a Master's. Very applied, so no good for someone interested in pure mathematics. (I hope Peter French won't notice me mentioning one of the dreaded "repackaged undergrad" Aussie "Master's" degrees!)
