I think it's great that so many of your members are so helpful even with the small stuff.

Has anyone taken the DANTES Organizational Behavior test by only studying the "Peterson's Dsst-The Official Test Preparation Guide"? What other books or sites are there?

    Thanks again

    Mark,
Org Behavior is the next test on my list. I got a book called "Essentials of Organizational Behavior" by Stephen P. Robbins. I probably bought it on Half.com, it's got a 1994 pub date. I've been carrying it back and forth to work for about 6 weeks now, I'm *all* the way up to page 40, can someone kick me in the rear and motivate me, please?

I too am interested to hear from anyone that has taken this test.

We had the same text (newer version) for Org Behaviour class (MBA) at St Leo. The book is pretty simple and well explained. You will love to read it all. The web site has a lot of good info along with the quizzes ans they will help a lot for the test.

Two years ago, I chose to take the Excelsior College ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR Exam because it had a much higher pass rate than the DSST ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR EXAM. I scored an "A" without studying.

Military pass rates for CLEP, DSST, and ECE exams are available here:

I figure if I don't pass it with DANTES I will try it with Excelsior but I would really perfer not to pay the $155.00 that Excelsior charges to take the test.

    How strange is that?
The Excelsior test cost more and awards upper level credit but is an easier test than DANTES.
DANTES cost less and is harder but awards only lower level credit?????????????????????????????????????

    Thanks

I took the exam in March. I got a 66 on it for which Excelsior awards an A. I didn't use any particular Organizational Behavior textbook to study for this exam. I only used the notes on the following website (which also has some useful notes on HR Management and training) but I studied for the CLEP Principles of Management and the ECE Human Resource Management exams simultaneously with this one because they have a lot in common. Hope this helps and good luck!

Charles, thanks for the info on the Excelsior test. I was planning to only take ECE tests if no CLEP or Dantes were available as I had the idea that ECEs were probably more difficult. Fortunately, I receive tuition aid, so the cost isn't a large factor in my decision. Also, I totally missed the fact that so many of the ECE exams are upper level. Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences and perspectives, this forum is a fabulous resource.

    Charles,
Did you have any background in Organizational Behavior before you took the test? I see the pass rate is over 80% on the ESE exam.
    Karen,
Have you taken the test yet?
    Thanks again.

    Mark,

Good question. I guess I do have some background in organizational behavior. I have been in the Navy for over 19 years. On a practical level, I'm involved with organizational behavior on a daily basis. Additionally, I had covered much of the exam information in various leadership and other training.

Have you been through 'TQM' with your place of employment yet? Had a management change, or dealt with a Union before?

If you've worked for a large corporation at any level, (Walmart, Disney, or any other) you know most of the material on this exam, and the rest can be 'gleaned' from reading the rest of the test....aka common sense.

Scored an A on this one with no study, but I've been in the 'corporate' atmosphere for 13 years.

Does the info in instacert.com cover enough to pass this exam? Any ideas?
