Ok so i have more or less have a hang on what i need to do. Now i have come to the question of how to do it.

To all of you who have done Straighterline for college credit. Do you have any advice on how to best prepare for it?

For example, Saylor had partnered with straighterline so could i study there first before attempting an exam on straighterline?

On the question of textbooks, do i need to get them or would the course material from both Straighterline and Saylor be enough to pass.

Could you please tell me which subjects you took and whether or not you felt that the textbook was required to pass the exam for that particular exam.

    Thank you

I thought they only partnered with Saylor for Microbiology. From what I've heard, it makes the course a lot easier when you buy the recommended textbook. The quizzes and tests are supposed to be very closely aligned with the recommended books. I even heard the books are more useful than the lessons.

sigh thats going to be problematic for me then.

Could you tell me how i can go about renting an ebook? or is it possible to download some of the books (dont need to mention sources but confirm the possibility to download) via torrents or other sites?

I haven't taken any Straighterline courses, but you can always search before you sign up. I know of one person who was able to find an ebook somewhere.

I just received an email from Straighterline that they were increasing their prices for English I and II by $20 to $69.

I wonder how long it will be before the rest of the subjects follow with increased prices
