    Swedish test for credits

    Hello everyone!

I recently spent about 1 year in Sweden and I managed to learn the language rather well. Now I`m wondering if anyone knows if there is any type of Swedish CLEP test that I can take in order to get 12 credits in foreign language towards my major?

    That looks great!

I found this link as well: The Testing Process

Since I go to a college in Florida it would be great if I could do it maybe at my school under the administration of my adviser somehow?

    Has anyone tried this?

    Okay great!

Has anyone tried the NYU test? What does it mean with 4,12,or 16 points? If i need for example 12 credits of foreign language for my major, how many points should I go for?

According to NYU, you have to go for at least 12 points and if you get a "perfect" score you to go for the extra 4 points. If you are going to Excelsior College you will have to ask them what the point to college credit correlation is. You need to check with your school to find out how much credit they award if any and if they accept NYU.

I was trolling for the first time on this site and came across your question. I figured I should join and be helpful.

This is really funny that you post this question. I am fluent in 3 languages one of them being Swedish. I learned Swedish after high school after meeting my wife :) I spoke another language that I tested for with NYU in high school. They sent the exam to the school and I tested with the principal. The one thing I will warn you is try and find out which dialect the course is in. Depending on where you learned Swedish Stockholm or the South it could be a little difficult. Even with my native tongue the test was a little tricky. I passed and received 12 "points" I believe at the time they considered them hours and the local community college accepted them as 12 credit hours. The test consisted of multiple choice and audio if I recall, its been some time.

    Hope that information helps.
