Was just reading the CLEP Information for Candidates leaflet I received from a local community school. New scoring for the computer based testing will be on a "Rights Only" score system. Meaning, there is no penalty for guessing.

I bring this up because I remember alot of people posting that there is a penalty (1/4 point I believe it was) for guessing so it is wise to eliminate atleast one answer? Well that is not the case anymore! (well, atleast if I didn't misread it...)

    Just FYI. Take care guys!

  2. You didn't misread it. That's one of the hallmarks of the new computer-based tests (along with "standardizing" the pass score to 50 for all tests.) But it seems like the "bank" of test questions hasn't changed significantly, so if you can eke out better than 50% correct on the "sample" exams, you should be in the clear.

College Math and the foreign language subject exams thankfully still have 4-choice questions; the remainder are still 5-choice.
