Hey all! Took my first CLEP today and I must say, it was pretty difficult (didn't do but 25 questions on Peterson's). I was not sure at the end, but I scored a 61! It is A&I Lit, but whatever, yay!

Next tests I will be taking... No order, but please recommend something or provide tips if you have taken any of them.

    Principles of Management
    Introductory Psychology
    Human Growth and Development
    West Civ I
    West Civ II
    Principles of Supervision DSST
    Tech Writing DSST
    Human Resource Management DSST
    College Math (BACKUP)

Any pass is cause for celebration! :fest06: Congratulations.

Technical Writing is supposed to be a breeze. I'm prepping for it right now, and I can tell that my total prep time will be in the single digits. There is ample info on this forum; just search DSST Technical Writing. The test is probably passable cold, but I just don't have quite big enough cajones to try it (read: I can't afford not to pass).

Also, I would suggest doing the Supervision and Management in tandem. There will be a lot of overlap of material, and it strikes me that time-management protocol would call for combined prep. Just my opinion. I haven't taken either, but both are on my list as well, and I do have my prep material for both.

If you can get Maniac on here, I think he is prepping (or has just finished) Western Civ I&II, so he may have some current info for you.

    Good luck on them all!

Thanks! I will be taking Principles of Management here on Friday! I just got 24 credits left and hopefully 21 after this test! Definitely going to choose the easiest CLEPs I can for my "BS Degree" so I can get a decent job while I work towards a quality degree :)

Congratulations! Personally, I've failed this one but pass American Literature, not sure why.

If you're looking for easy, I would suggest Marketing. I just took it yesterday and scored a 76. I do have some background in sales, and that helped, I believe, but the concepts were very basic: demographic, target markets, sales approaches, etc...

    Just my 2c.

Definitely here too! I payed a lot of attention in marketing... which makes me unsure as to whether they will accept credit for it. Anyways, West Civ I and II are totally for history channel buffs, but what movies would be good for me to watch? I am not horrible with history, but specific dates and times may be difficult. Any ideas?

    Draygonia,

If you're a history buff, the Western Civ I and II exams are pretty easy pickings. I used a general history of Europe that I picked up on sale at Barnes and Noble (pretty sure it was Norman Davies's Europe: A History) to get ready for the exam, any broad overview type book that covers the time period of the exam should get you there relatively well-prepared. Good luck!

My 16 year old passed A&I Lit with a 55. No special study other than completing two REA tests, one Peterson's test, and the College Board's sample test.

Analyzing Lit is the best CLEP to start. I figure I'll have my son take it in another year or so, he's 14 now.
