Just curious about how everyone did on their GRE subject tests: I know that their was at least 3 or 4 people taking the GRE's this time around...

Did anyone fail to accomplish what they wanted? What percentile did you make?

After 3 months studying Biology (as well as some informal classes, and some Creation Science courses that I had taken a few years back), I scored in the 60th percentile: good enough for the 24 credits I was trying for!

And not too bad, I might add, considering I have seen Biology Majors, who have done worse!

What was very surprising, was that my highest score was in Evolution and Ecology. I figured it would be in Microbiology, which is what I have studied the most. Guess all that time debating evolutionists was well worth it!

    Anyway, share your results!

Guess everyone but me failed miserably?

There were several people on here that said they were taking them. Be honest, it will help those, perhaps, who are seeking this avenue...

I received a 530 scaled score, 54th percentile on the GRE Literature in English, this gets me 18 credits at COSC, where I have been accepted and enrolled to pursue a second BA. I have enrolled in the four classes I think I will need to finish a second BA in Literature. I plan to have it completed by the end of this year, and I may retake the GRE after I complete these four courses.

I don't have as much advice to give on this one, since my study was only halfhearted for weeks and weeks. Considering the effort I put into it, I did well. I only studied seriously for 5 or six weeks, so if someone wants a higher score they should study longer than that. I think ten to twelve weeks is a good time frame, anything longer than that and what you studied in the first few weeks gets very fuzzy. Reading both Norton anthologies of English and American Literature was the most helpful thing I did. Also, I did improve my practice test scores from around the tenth percentile at the beginning of my studying, to around the 60th percentile the day before the exam, so I was pleased with my result considering that it improved by 40 percentile points in just six weeks time.

    Congrats on your score!

I did a gre psychology exam and got a score of 610 and 50%. I am going to apply at cosc to get the 18 credits there. I knew the content of the test but I thought I had more time but I was only have way through the test when they said 20 minutes left.
I am planning to write another gre test in Sept 09 but will make sure to ask them to tell me every hour so I can stay on track. Even though there was a clock I was so concentrated that I never looked. Disappointed.
