    Hi Degreeinfo forum,

I've done my searching, and I've found lots of threads asking about the WER requirement for Excelsior, which one is the easiest exam, etc. but not much about specifics for the ECE English Comp test. I've gone over the free exam guide from Excelsior, which was helpful, but I know there's more information out there, and hopefully I can find some here, as I am taking this exam next week.

My writing skills are above average, and I'm good at argumentative essays, but I get the feeling that this is a test where you REALLY have to know exactly what these guys want to see for the other two. Does anybody have any tips for the Analysis and Response or Revision Strategies prompts?

I'm getting familiar with the APA citation style, but the website I'm using reads rather like a dictionary. Has anybody found a 'quick and dirty' guide for APA citations that would be helpful?

Can anybody who has taken this test think of anything they wished they would have known beforehand? (I really want to get a decent score on this...)

I'll be coming back to this thread after my test to share my experiences for the benefit of those who haven't yet taken it. Of course that doesn't help me right now though. Any help would be appreciated.

Haven't taken the test yet, but I found the Exam Resources section in Excelsior's Virtual Library. That, combined with the Exam Content Guide is enough to spoon feed me anything I would need for this exam, except for basic writing skills.

Also, I'm surprised nobody replied with this:

There's a great example essay on the second link down. :p

Hope this is helpful to anybody else taking this test.
