These are the resources used by my son for the DSST Astronomy exam:

    Wikipedia

Most helpful wiki pages were the ones on stars. Star and to a lesser extent, spectroscopy (electromagnetic radiation) related questions appeared to cover the bulk of the questions asked in the test, with galaxy related questions coming in third.

    This page was also helpful:

although be warned that it is best as a quick refresher of who's who and their major accomplishments, and does not cover all astronomers listed in the test.

some info on what happened when the moon is at such and such a point in it's orbit would have been helpful, though not necessary.

I used The Complete Idiot's Guide to Astronomy and the SparkNotes SparkChart for this exam. I was surprised how well the Idiot's Guide covered this course.
