I took this test (though am fluent in german). For non-native speakers, this exam can be challenging. The exam consists of listening to people speak and then answer questions as to what they said / their conversations, and reading articles followed by answering questions on those.

The voices that are played over the speakers can be difficult to understand at times and are even garbled, making interpretation nearly impossible and some of the articles that are displayed are difficult to read (very poor scanning). There were times when I had doubts as to some of the questions asked due to their poor grammar and sentence structure (perhaps created by non-native speakers).

If you are not fluent, this exam will have some rather difficult sections in it. For practice, ensure that you listen to conversations and try to answer questions such as what they were talking about as well as some more specific questions (i.e. Welche Farbe hatte das Auto in dem Gespräch?).

Completed this exam in 2006 (too bad FHSU only gave me 5 credits, earned :p)
