I took this exam the same day as DSST Geology, with very little study specific to this exam. I already studied quite a bit about erosion and acid rain during my geology prep, and I think that if you are taking CLEP Biology or Natural Sciences, this one would be a nice easy one to take the same day. I just looked up stuff on wikipedia about trophic levels, waste water treatment, and landfills.

I just took this exam and passed with a 65. For study materials, I used the B&N SparkCharts and an AP Environmental Science guide.

I passed this today with a 58. I used Instacert, Hippocampus and a book called STG Environmental Science. After stressing out trying to remember several environment laws and treaties, not a single one was on the test. Know the different soil horizons, know different types of farming and different types of irrigation. Know what mass transportation is. Know the different levels of the atmosphere.
