dantes public speaking question

  1. does anyone know of a good study guide for dantes public speaking, or is it even necessary? i heard it was real easy but I am a little intimidated by something different like this, i have never been graded on how well i talk into a tape recorder before so I am a little nervous. please share your experences to ease my mind, if you could. thanks guys

    They will give you a subject to speak on. You will speak extemporaneously for 5-7 minutes. They will give you a few minutes to get your thoughts together. Just remember, intro, body, conclusion. In other words, tell em' what you're gonna tell em', tell em', then tell em' what you told em'. Use good transitions in between all three.

    I was pretty nervous for that one as well.
    First I had a theory part and was glad that I did do some studying about it.
    Then, I got 10minutes to prepare the whole persuasive speech and had to talk between 3 and max 5 minutes.
    It's pretty stressing having someone sit there with a timer and looking at you all the time while timing.

    Make sure you know how to write and how to put a whole intro, body, close together withing 10min about a topic you receive on the spot.

    Ps, you know anything about 'ethics in america ' is that easy or not study-necessary? I never really believe in the 'non' study menthod....that's just me.
