Greetings. Does anyone know if using Instantcert to study Ethics in America will suffice for the Ethics: Theory and Practice Excelsior exam. I am pretty sure they are not going to accept the Dantes exam for the Ethics credits needed for their Business degree.

First, check with Excelsior, because I think the DSST Ethics will work. Just keep in mind that the DSST version is lower level and the ECE version is upper level.

Second, Instantcert is not enough for the ECE Ethics, but it does help. My advice is that you take both the ECE and DSST practice exams. That will help you get a feel for material you need to study. Also, many of the scenarios in the ECE practice tests are used in the actual exam. (at least they were in mine) The questions about the scenarios were different, however.

I took ECE ethics first. Then I took the DSST version a few days later. The only additional prep was the ethics section in the official dsst guide.

I am currently enrolled at Excelsior and yes, they do accept the DSST Ethics as satisfying the ethics requirement. The only difference is DSST Ethics is counted as a lower-level arts and science course and the ECE Ethics is counted as an upper-level business course. So, if you take DSST Ethics, then you will need another course or test for the 3 credits of upper-level business. If you take the ECE Ethics, you need another test to fill in the 3 credits in arts and sciences.
