What kind of TESC transfer credit can one expect from a typical FEMA course?

Oh, and for the folks following my TESC adventure, the powers that be are evaluating several DETC accredited military correspondence courses that I have.

It looks pretty promising too! :)

The reason I was asking, was that I am currently having a TESC credit evaluation and was considering taking a few FEMA courses to help things along.

But on a good note, TESC is evaluating my DETC accredited Army Correspondence courses for RA credit, now that is more than I could have ever hoped for!!

Trust me, I WILL take all I can get in transfer credit!

I would be interested in hearing about any credit you get for Army Correspondence courses. The only courses I got credit for were a few logistic courses that were ACE evaulated.

I had thousands of hours of those. It never occured to me to try and get any credit for them beyond using the material as the basis for testing.

TESC is going to give me 1 credit per course for the Army courses. yay!

The issue is applying them to a degree plan. I am having quite a time getting the max credits from TESC though.

I have TESC putting together several degree plans for me BUT the most credit I have for any one plan is (((42)))!!

Not exactly what I am looking for. I want to utilize MORE of my military credits. Heck, I want to use them ALL! :) (but I know that is NOT going to happen).

As it stands right now, I have several credit evals going on at several collleges. Depending on the program, I will go with the college that affords me the MAX use of my credits plain and simple..

    EXCELSIOR
    FORT HAYES STATE
    TESC
There was another one but I forgot which university it is UMUC I think?
I thought about COSC but PERSONALLY I can get over the BSGS thing. COSC students (present and former)that is MY personal preference. Not intended to offend-

Could you name a few of the courses they accepted? How did courses versus subcourses come into play? How did you provide a transcript when the material I have seen says the Army will not provide a transcript of Army Correspondence courses, except those that are ACE evauluated. What was the told number of credits you received?

Interesting. I have the same courses and more on my account with AIPD and have not been able to do anything with them yet. How did they list the courses on the TESC transcript?

    thanks.

    I have more courses as well but;
    A) I asked the evaluator at TESC about "these" courses as I felt they would work with my degree plan
    B) I had to send/fax them the actual certificate(s) with the DETC seal on it.

They told me it is evaluated on a "case by case" basis, whatever that means.. All I can tell you is to ask them about it.

They show on my AARTS as non ACE evaluated courses.:D
