I'm taking the DANTES Money and Banking test later this week or first thing next week. Can anyone offer me some insight? I searched on another forum and on here and was unable to find a good review like I've read for many other exams.

I've got the required text and am a financial professional with a few years of experience on a proprietary trading desk.

(I'm in my final stretch for credits to graduate at TESC, finally!)

    Thanks DegreeInfo members for everything!

I’ve not read anything encouraging either about the Money & Banking exam. Any success stories out there? I need to take Money & Banking at some point too.

I gave up on waiting for a response so I scheduled Money and Banking for Monday the 27th. I'm going to spend the better part of my free time this week studying for this exam. I'm also going to take the DANTES Statistics on Monday after Money and Banking, but I have a strong foundation in Statistics so I'm not worried about that one.

After that I'll be taking the Business Policy TECEP on Friday and the Business in Society TECEP on Tuesday the 4th.

Also just finished my Principles of Finance DANTES the other day, with relative ease.

I wrote the challenge examination today for Corporate Communications through Athabasca University for my business/managerial communication requirement in the TESC BSBA program.

So much testing, so little time!

GMATs are the next big scary one.

OK. Here, try this. Provided by a good person going by Alexa DeParis who used to frequent this site.
    Good luck

That review sheet looks great. I'm going to go over it tonight and let you know how things go with the test on Monday.

Where'd you get the review sheet from?

There was a person on this board a couple years ago called Alexa DeParis. She made this guide for herself while studing for the exam. Actually, she made a couple of guides for her studies. She posted the documents on a website she made. I still had the link, but it's inactive. I'm glad I downloaded when I did...
Good luck next week on the Money & Banking exam.

Wow! Money and Banking was hard. You really have to know your stuff and you need to know at least one of the recommended texts inside and out.

I wrote some notes down after the test but I can't find them.

Basically know the banking system REAL well, economics (Keynesian, Classical, Monetarist), government invovlement within the industry (Reg Q, National Banking Act, FDIC, etc.)

If anyone has any specific questions just let me know and I'll try and address them.

I'm pretty certain I passed but I put in a lot of study time.

Also, the study sheet that is posted on this thread, while concise and helpful, will not be anywhere near the study information you need to pass this exam.

    Thanks for the update Finguy.
It's good to know the study sheet was a good start, but not complete. Your additional comments will surely help others.
Having just taken this upper level test, do you feel the DSST Fact Sheet adequately reflects the content of the exam?
    Best,

Let us know what you scored when you get your results! I've hope to take M & B in a week or 2. If you think of anything else about the exam that stands out let us know! Thanks!

76, which was a little higher than expected. I definitely put in my study time, but it was a tough test. Good luck
