Has anyone tried Petersons clep exam website, they offer free practice clep exams for military personnel. Here is the website:http://www.petersons.com/airforce/clepcenter.asp?sponsor=8. How are Peterson's practice clep exam's, do they cover what you need to know for the clep exam? Thanks
Somewhat. College Algebra was way off (too easy). I found others were far more difficult than the actual exams. It is okay as a secondary resource, but I wouldn't depend on it.
My experience has been that the Peterson tests are more difficult than the actual CLEP exams. Without exception, my results on the practice tests have been lower than I scored on the actual exam (or on other practice exams from REA, COMEX, Official CLEP Guide etc.). I like to take them for the challenge prior to taking the real CLEP, but I do not use them to predict how well I might do on the actual exams. They are certainly useful though. They help you track your learning progress since there are three exams for each subject. They DO cover the info you need for the CLEPs but the difficulty level of each question is a bit higher than you need. This is only my opinion of course, others may disagree! Take care, Beholdweb
