DANTES psychology lifespan development-book advice

Hi there,
I 'm studying for Dantes Lifespan Developmental Psychology and have the book by Demetriou and Doise.
It's very boring and I don't think it's enough for the exam.

Has anybody passed that exam and could recommend me some books or any advice about the subject.
