I'm not familiar with DSST or its process so I must ask... Can DSST tests be taken at Canadian Military bases as well? I'm close to a couple here in Nova Scotia and that would be that cat's ...meow... My quest for trying to get NS Universities / Community Colleges to administer CLEP exams is disheartening at best... they can't be bothered. The woes of living in Atlantic Canada... *gripe*complain*
http://www.getcollegecredit.com/04learners_c.html the Overseas link show a few places in Ontario, but that's all as for CLEP, I guess none of these are close to you http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_clep/searchCLEPTestCenterResults.jsp?searchCategory_state=0&searchdb_city=&DBACTION=SEARCH_TC&x=34&y=9
Unfortunately.. no. I may have to make a trip to Maine ( ~ 6 hours with "The Cat" included ) later on this summer... How long are the exams? I'm thinking of College Algebra ; Freshmen College Composition; German I, Information Systems & Computer Applications & Intro to Sociology.... Can I take 5 CLEP exams in 2 days? Since this will be a 2 or 3 day trip, I might as well make the most of it! BM
CLEP exam descriptions, no sample questions http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/exams.html each exam is different, most are around 90 minutes, all are computer based and multiple choice, I think the the foreign language ones include multiple choice questions based on reading and listening selections you should go to a library or bookstore and look at a copy of the Official CLEP study guide http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/104-2914846-1495932 probably not worth buying though, the CD included with the boook is definitely not worth buying, it just shows you how to click on a radio button so you'll be used to doing that for your exam the book gives descriptions and about 30-40 sample questions for each exam, the answers for the sample questions are given but are not explained as for CLEP scoring, there is no penalty for guessing http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/clep/CLEP_scores.pdf how many you can take in one day depends on the school where you take them. They each have their schedule. I know one school in New York that allows me to take CLEPs at 10 am and 3pm. But I asked them if I can take another one immediately after finishing the one at 10am and then another at 3. They didn't mind. The schedule was only because they just didn't want people walking in at 11 and disturbing other people in the middle of an exam. so, yes, you can probably take 5 or 6 exams in two days. this website's author details how he obtained a degree in a few weeks. He had years of real-life experience before taking any exams and he put in a lot work studying for some of them. You'll see how he took more than one exam a day. You'll have to scroll dosn to get past all the ads. And click on Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 on the left column to see further progress http://bain4weeks.com/1styearBS.html
