DANTES transcription

Hello All,

Just a quick question on DANTES exams - how long do they take to get transcripted? I'm going to TESC right now and it seems like it takes my CLEP exams about 3 weeks to show up on my degree audit. I just wanted to see what the general time frame has been in most cases.

The only DANTES test I've taken thus far was transcripted at TESC in about a month or so ...

By any chance does DSST send a pass/fail notice to you directly? I really just need to know if I passed or not (I think I did) so I can relay the info to a prospective employer. Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, they send a letter to you at the same time they do your school ...

I took about 10 dantes tests over a period of a year or so, the majority of test results came back within 3-4 weeks and a few were 5-6 weeks.

I'll be anxiously awaiting the results while I take care of my last 4 tests. If all goes well I'll be finished by July.

If you paid by credit card it will show up on your account about the same time they grade the exam. My experience was the score came 5-7 days later.

 

If that's the case then I'll check my mail right now.

I just got my results - I passed both tests. The turnaround was less than two weeks. Here is my list of courses that I've tested out of so far.

This website and the members have given me so much motivation to complete my degree - I only have a few more tests to go before I graduate and I could not have done it without this forum and the members.

Hi folks.

I just received a postcard from Excelsior telling me that my DANTES results have arrived and that it will take them 4 weeks to include them into my acedemic record (I have no idea why it take SO long, but anyhow).

Unfortunately, no letter or whatever from DANTES itself arrived at my home yet, which means that I know that I have some results, but I don't know if I passed or failed... ;-(

Anyone got an idea how I could find out?

As far as I know, its just a waiting game ...

I'm in the same boat, currently awaiting my score for DANTES Principles of Finance. Took it a week ago ... ah, the agony of waiting!

The difference is: I took the exams on July 20th, and don't know nothing yet...

I took mine on July 27th, FWIW.

 

Just an update, I got my DANTES Principles of Finance score in today - one day shy of two weeks from the exam date.

I passed ... whew!
