is this site worth the $20 per month fee?

    thank you

  2. It has worked very well for me...I have CLEPed out of the Humanities, Intro to Sociology, and Computer Information Systems with the help of Instacert.....I know that a lot of of an idividual's success depends on their study habits and study methods and on the test you take..

I bought the whole package...6 months for $100...so...I would definately buy it.

thanks for the info, did you use any other study material on top of instacert to assist?

  4. Yeah...for the Humanities CLEP I used "Petersons Cracking the CLEP" and the College Board CLEP book...(blue one with all the practice tests)

For the Computer Information Systems and Intro to Sociology I just used Instacert and took the practice test in the College Board book....both of those tests were really easy.

  5. I'd say yes for History and other types of exams where you need to learn textual material to memorize (the majority of exams). I'd say no for subjects like Math.

I used them for about a year, on about 20-25 exams. Even in addition to recommended texts the flashcard system was great for filling in the blanks.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Someone is pushing a discount for InstantCert on eBay. Just do a search on eBay on the word "CLEP" or "DANTES or "DSST". I passed quite a few tests using InstantCert. I have also purchased other types of good study materials for Clep and Dantes that I found on eBay at pretty good prices.

    Good Luck!

It's worth the money, but not for all exams

I liked Instacert. I used them for several exams with success. i also found them terrible for such exams as the Business Finance exam. They were terrific for Business Law, Prin of Supervision, management, Eng comp, etc. It was definitely worth the $20 a month. Especially if you take multiple exams at one time.

you might do a search here on degreeinfo.com and www.degreeforum.com as they have several threads on this subject.
