Due to financial reasons, I would like to wait to enroll in COSC. Currently I have CLEP fever and would like to get some credits out of the way. If I take a CLEP and pass, where would the record of me passing be stored and do I have access to it much like a normal transcript?
    Thanks,
    Mick

The CLEP program is administered by the College Board. Your score on each test is mailed to you about three weeks after you take it. An official copy can also be sent to the college of your choice. Scores are kept on file for many years (20 or 25, I believe) and transcripts can be ordered from the College Board in much the same manner as one would request a transcript from a college.

The College Board has changed domains recently and the new site, at http://www.collegeboard.com/ doesn't have all of its links operating properly yet. Starting in July the CLEP tests will be administered entirely on computer.

Thanks Bill. I was concerned that if the CLEP results weren't sent directly to the school after the exam, they may disappear into limbo. That's comforting information!
