I have recently corresponded with the DANTES office. For those of you as unfamiliar as myself with what this is ... it's taking a test on specific subjects. If you pass those credits can then be applied for credit to some university degrees. DANTES appears to be run by or affiliated with the US military. I enquired whether I would be able to take DANTES testing in Asia, particularly in communist and third world countries. Their answer was that regular testing centers operate only in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Itinerant students be warned.
