Can anyone suggest a study guide for the GRE. I will finish my MS in the summer and I am looking at PhD programs. The schools I have it down to are-

TUI- expensive, require continuous enrollment, are not accepting new students at this time but I am in their system now, understand what they expect, and they are associated with a traditional campus

Nova (DBA) - more expensive than TUI, need to take the GRE but excellent reputation and they have a campus one mile from my house

NCU - not the best reputation but have the program I want PhD in Business - Management and affordable.

If I take the GRE and score above an 1100, I will apply to Nova and they my become my top choice but right now NCU is my best option.

1100 on Verbal + Math ? You should be able to get that score or more without a study guide. Perseverance is the key to the GRE, 4 plus long hours, a numb derriere, cramped writing hand, unsure about answers, why am I here attitude develpoment, I can take it again approach, etc. This after only 2 hours of testing. Oh its not that bad - only seems that way. See if you can take the Miller Analogies Test - 100 questions in 50 minutes and you are outta there. Whichever, they are no indication of how you will do with your studies they are just a money makers for the testing agencies and possibly the schools who proctor them. Good Luck, you will do just fine.
