Quote BAin4weeks "Research Methods may sound an intimidating exam, but it's not. The work you did for the statistics exam will stand you in good stead here. Use the Princeton review "Cracking the Psychology GRE Exam" to brush up on the requirements. The coverage of this sub discipline in that book may seem sparse, but it contains exactly what you need to know, no more, no less. Ensure you understand all of it (there's not much) and you'll do just fine in the exam."

I have the GRE Psych book. Looking through it, all I can find that seems like it would be part of the "sub discipline" is a 4 page chapter titled "Research Design" and a small section on statistics (I've read basic statistics knowledge is important for this test). Has anyone taken this test? Did you use the Cracking GRE Psych, and if so, what section are applicable to the test? I think BAin4weeks description of 'sparse' would certainly be true if all I needed was those 4 pages. :) Maybe that is all I'd need...I've done about 20 pages of study for other tests, so I suppose it isn't out of the question. Any insight would be great!

I’ll be taking this tomorrow so I’ll let you know! I bought, for about $4.00, the fourth edition of the recommended text (I don’t have it with me now to give you the name). I briefly flipped through it and it seems to perfectly cover what is on the content guide, however, I have not studied it yet. I may be kicking myself tomorrow for not studying more for this exam. I plan on cramming tonight and first thing in the morning if needed before my exam at 12:30 – I’ll let you know how it goes. If anyone has any test secrets for this one let me know now.

Took it today and scored an "A." I finished in 2hrs, so plenty of time to spare. The content guide sums it pretty good, however, I thought more than 25% of the questions were on Experimental Design. I don't think you need to know any "psychology" to pass this one - just know the ends and outs of research methods in general.
