Just recently, I noticed my local University of Phoenix is listed on the getcollegecredit.com site as being able to administer DSSTs. When I called them, I was told they only give these tests to current or previously enrolled students. Does anyone know if this is a UoP policy for all campuses? I thought I recalled someone posting before about how they took CLEP tests at Phoenix (and were not an enrolled student).

Yesterday, I had called a local college, about an hour drive away, who was listed on the DSST website. However, when I called, the only thing she could tell me is "Oh, they've sent me some material before. I've never done one; I know nothing about it. I guess if you order the tests then I can do them for you; you'll have to call them and work it out." My guess is that I myself cannot order these tests, but maybe I'm wrong? It's not that I'm against getting information for this woman so I can take tests, it's just that it was frusterating that she really had no idea what I was talking about. If I can really order the tests, do I need that specific college, or could I have them sent to my local college that I've been taking CLEP tests at?

If all else fails, I assume the air force base about 2 hours away would probably give me the tests, but I'm hoping to find some sort of closer solution. If anyone has any experience that could help me, I'd be extremely greatful. :)

I went through the same thing. I surrounded by UOP offices but 99% will not administer for non-enrolled students. I found one that was an open center near Sacramento, CA. So I guess it is hit or miss.

    Good luck,

Same deal. I had to pay an extra fee as I was not a UoP student. I have since found a much better local university to assist me.

Anyone happen to know how difficult it is for a university to get set up to give the DSST tests? I'm on a pretty friendly basis with our local state college, and could probably get them to do it if there was not too much setup involved.

If you get a your local university to agree, I'm pretty sure Dantes will allow them to proctor. They told me as much over the phone.
Alas, I could find no takers among the local colleges.
