I am struggling to choose between QMUL and USD online/distance MBAs: QMUL is not accredited by any of AASCB, AMBA or EQUIS whilst USD's is accredited by AASCB. The problem is that QMUL ranks quite well (top 100 worldwide in QS) whilst USD ranks lowly (and sometimes unranked!). By the way, I will be doing the degree from Africa and I don't plan to work in the US or UK: I am looking at continuing in working in the private sector or UN here in Africa. The costs for both schools are not materially different. Any advice, please?

Unless I was going to be working in the plains or upper Midwest of the United States, I'd go Queen Mary. Except in academic circles primarily in the U.S., such as for teaching at an AACSB business school, I'm unconvinced there's any great utility to AACSB accreditation. Surely the University of London and Heriot-Watt MBAs, though non-AACSB, would rank higher than 80% to 90% of all AACSB accredited programs.

I agree completely on all points. Between the two, for your purposes, Queen Mary/UoL is the clear choice.

There must be something fundamentally wrong with you if you agree with me on all points on any subject. :veryhappy:

Well you can include me in that mix too because I think you've hit the nail on the head. My only question for the original poster is, of all the online MBA programs in the world, how did you narrow it down to those two choices?

Well, I'm sure if this community has consensus on anything it's that there's something fundamentally wrong with me. :jester:

It is an interesting two choices.

Steve: We post here, so there's obviously something slightly off center about all of us.
