University of Texas - Permian Basin

I was looking for something else, and came across the UT-Permian Basin online site. They have a 30-hour (36 for those without a business undergrad degree) AACSB-accredited MBA , available completely online, for under $10K (even at 36-hours), which is an incredible bargain. Options are Finance, Accounting , and a General MBA .

UTPB | Master of Business Administration Online

For those in the market for an MBA , I can't imagine a better value; AACSB, state school, incredibly inexpensive, and completely online.

    Damn! That a good deal.
XVI.8: Confucius said, "There are three things of which the superior man stand in awe. He stands in awe of the ordinances of Heaven. He stands in awe of great men. He stands in awe of the words of the sages. The mean man does not know the ordinances of Heaven, and consequently does not stand in awe of them. He is disrespectful to great men. He makes sport of the words of the sages."

I picture a giant dried-out lake bed in the middle of the Texas desert, for some reason.

I'm seriously contemplating on UTPB for my MBA . But I'm unable to find any reviews of the program online. Any current students/alumni on here?

"Permian" is a geological period. It was book-ended by mass extinctions, by the end of the Carboniferous period at its beginning and by the Permian/Triassic mass extinction at its end (the biggest mass extinction in Earth's history ).

It is west Texas, so it's dry lands. It's kind of the southern end of the great plains so that it's kinda flat, with distant mesas and escarpments. Not exactly a beauty spot, though you could probably film cowboy movies there.

    There's an image here.

Its claim to fame is its underlying geology. It's the largest petroleum producing basin in the United States. So far it has produced 28.9 billion barrels of oil and 75 trillion cubic feet of gas. An estimated 43 billion barrels of oil and 18 trillion feet of gas remain.

With Trump in office promoting American fossil fuel energy production I expect that the oil companies will be throwing money at the Permian basin. They reportedly already are. So the region might experience a boom in the next few years.

Certainly looks like a good deal, but if you go online, you miss out on the Friday night fun at the Permian games!
