Yes, although it's perfectly likely that it's also a teaching institution for foreign universities.

So it would seem, Steve. From the UNICAF site:

"UNICAF is the leading online platform in sub-Saharan Africa offering quality higher education degree programmes in collaboration with UK, US and European universities

UNICAF partners with UK, US and European universities to offer online quality higher education degrees to students in Africa. Current partners include the University of South Wales (UK), the Marymount California University (USA) and the University of Nicosia (Europe)."

I have no reason to disbelieve this. Don't know if the diploma would show University of South Wales or, possibly, both schools. One thing for sure: If there's any special deal financially, it would (and should) be reserved for African students and possibly those from developing nations outside Africa. Any North Americans, Europeans etc. trying to enrol through UNICAF would likely (and should be, as I see it) referred to the partner University - in this case, South Wales (UK).

Come to think of it, they even say UNICAF is only for students in Africa. "online quality higher education degrees to students in Africa." That takes care of that, I guess. I wish them every success.

UNICAF offers MBA from University of South Wales for merely GBP 2,482.

If the degree specifies only University of South Wales and not UNICAF, i believe its a good package. I am trying to get more info.

On the other hand, they operate 5 "Information Centres" located around the world. There would be no need for that if they were accepting only African students. I'd look for a more definitive statement from the school before I decided what the exact admission policy might be.

    Cameroon Information Centre
    Hong Kong Information Centre
    India Information Centre
    London Information Centre
    South Africa Information Centres

Yes, it does. And those with incomes less than $20,000 per year may apply for scholarships. As long as they have the required English proficiency and meet entrance requirements, it doesn't matter where prospective students are from.

That's probably a record low, these days - certainly a record for a UK MBA. Lowest-cost properly-authorized school I ever found for MBA was Don Bosco Global U. in India. It was about $2300 then, but their fees have climbed a bit. I believe a DBU Global MBA now costs $3,600 total in tuition, plus about $800 (4 x 200) for exam fees over 2 years. That would put it a few hundred above the UNICAF / USW program.

University of South Wales lists the price of this program as £12,635. I can't find the GBP 2,482 offer.

I can't find it either, Stanislav - but I have no doubt it exists. This poster has proven to have reliable info in the past. I figure it's a UNICAF special rate - a scholarship deal for those under the $20,000 threshold, or possibly only those qualified to deal with the African UNICAF portal. I don't think they release the details unless you make a specific scholarship enquiry. I think there's an onsite button or link for that.

Why? That's where the organization is based.

    Apologies, I didn't know that.

OK, they are offering me a place on the Masters in Education for 2420 dollars - assuming I get the scholarship. This seems too good to be true. Am I worrying unnecessarily? Someone put my mind at ease - please.

You're wise to be sceptical, but it's not necessarily too good to be true, provided that you are communicating with the university. You may also see whether anyone in your country's ministry of education can make a call for you to confirm things if you're unsure.

I have been given this address which on closer inspection is an automated address used by many companies for a registered postal address in London.

    UNICAF University
UNICAF Kemp House, 152 City Road,
    London EC1V 2NX

    Tel: +44 203 815 8006

    Email: [email protected]

The guy contacting me is Andrew Georgiou. I have sent an email to the UNI asking if this guy represents them but no reply as yet. He sends me to this website https://sis.unicafuniversity.com/index I can't help getting the feeling that it is a hacked website.
