If you already have a CPA, on a case by case, you may be able to turn it into MSc finance and accounting with only 2 modules and a research paper.

Just make sure the degree will take you where you want to go - exactly how it is recognized where you live. It certainly appears to be a legit school, anyway. I noticed on the website:

"CIM is the only Institution in Cyprus to enjoy a triple Institutional Accreditation by UK bodies: The Chartered Institute of Marketing, The University of West London and London South Bank University."

It's great that the Cyprus Marketing Institute enjoys a relationship with other schools that includes the ability to offer some of their degree programs, but these schools are not "Institutional Accreditors" in the US sense. That certainly doesn't mean the schools' opinions of CIM aren't valuable, though.

Interesting thing about U. of West London - to me, anyway: Alumni - Musicians Freddie Mercury and Pete Townshend.

Might be a very good deal for some. Worth checking into, for sure.

I have seen where accounting bodies in the UK have been accrediting institutions to carry their programs.

Yes - that's more like programmatic accreditation than Institutional. A perfectly valid concept.

One more thing. The Cyprus Institute of Marketing also has a BVI-incorporated site. CIM-BVI offers degrees up to PhD and doesn't say anything about the London affiliations etc., although both CIM Cyprus and CIM BVI do mention ties with Dr. Dirk Craen's European University.

I don't know anything about the standing of the BVI degrees. I'm sure they're "legal", but AFAIK the school does not have official degree-granting status from BVI. The only University I know of that has a presence there is one of the many UWI "open campuses." The only home-grown institution of higher education is H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

CIM-BVI makes no claims about Cyprus degree-granting authorization, just saying it has a "representative office" in Nicosia. The BVI site is 100% distance-degrees.

just noticed - the CIM-BVI site says the school is accredited by these folks: www-dot-ciacommission-dot-org.
Their site says they accredit (1) schools, (2) health organizations and (3) food-sellers, restaurants etc.

Somehow, just doesn't sound quite like the kind of university accreditation we're used to. If I go, I'll stick with the Cyprus school.

BTW - the top-up program Phdtobe mentions is taught in Nicosia Cyprus. Not by distance. You have to be there.

Sorry - I was partially wrong. It appears you can go to CIM Nicosia OR University of West London. And yes - you have to be there, either way. Not a DL program.
