    Hello,

My first post, and could really use some help. I'm trying to choose between 3 DL MBA programs in the UK from University of Northampton, University of Derby and Anglia Ruskin University.

All 3 have offered me advanced placement into their programs (straight to dissertation) based on prior Masters education that I have completed and exempt me from completing the core modules of the programs. The Northampton degree would take me 4-6 months to complete, Anglia Ruskin 6-8 months and Derby would take a full year. Northampton and Anglia Ruskin are the cheapest at ~3000 GBP, Derby is at around 4200 GBP. I'd be paying the full amount myself.

I've tried researching reputation of these schools, but its proving difficult to get a clear understanding of the best of them in terms of reputation. I'm aware that none of them are particularly prestigious. Would really appreciate some outside perspective on this. I live all over the place due to my job, so I'm most interested in international applicability. Thanks!

Do any of these programs have AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS accreditation (and not just "membership")? That way you can always drop the line that I hear all the time, "Oh you never heard of [X]? We are just like London Business School, because we are [AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS] accredited also."

Personally however, I think you are better off choosing based on quality of the program rather than reputation.

The only agency that I'm aware of in the UK that looks the quality of a university (and not made up rankings that magazines and newspapers come up with) is the QAA. You can review their reports on the universities you mentioned at Reviews and reports . That may help you choose.

    Open University?

I have only been in contact with a few universities from the U.K., but Open University really looked good compared to others. They were triple crowned last time I checked and weren't badly priced and have a 100% online option for their MBA. See if they can offer you something similar. Triple crown schools are rare and a business degree from one speaks volumes. Or so I hear.
