Life experience credit is usually regarded as low return for your time, but it is possible. Quicker probably too use credit by exam such as clep dsst tecep or excrlsiors own exams.

They are generally requiring a capstone course of three credits these days for most degrees, but the other 117 credits can be transferred in.

Look also at Thomas Edison state college and charter oak state college for similar, though usually more cost effective programs

Legitimate schools do not award credit for 'life experience.' They award credit for learning gained from alternative sources, including your experience. The difference? You have to prove your learning. This can be done by examination. It can also be done by portfolio.

Excelsior doesn't do the lifelong learning portfolio. However, if you do one through another school, Excelsior will consider accepting those credits in transfer, provided they otherwise fit your degree program.

Dr. Steve Levicoff has written an excellent article on this process, having leveraged it himself towards earning his bachelor's degree. I believe the article is on this website.
