Hi all, Does anyone know any DBA program that is not expensive and can be accelerated if I wanted to and online? I completed my MBA program from WGU in 6 months. The online courses were great, affordable and allowed me to accelerate. Looking for something similar in a DBA. Thanks.
Well, first off, you tell me what exactly "not too expensive" means to you. "Not too expensive" can mean different things depending on whether you are subsisting on a small disability check, or whether you are best friends with Bill Gates, or whether you maybe somewhere in between. The second thing is if you go back to the page that lists all the threads in the Business and MBA Degrees sub-forum, you will note that there is a thread entitled "Lowest Cost DBA/PhD" (or something like that) which gives a state by state listing of all online business doctorates in the United States which lists school name, web address, majors/concentrations, hourly tuition, hours to degree, total program tuition, and accreditation(s). I'm not sure if there are any accelerated doctoral programs in business.
American International University and Swiss Management both have great prices and accelerated options. Any other universities like these two with accreditation?

I remember looking at both of these programs back when I was still interested in doing a DBA. I remember liking Wilmington more, but I no longer recall the details. Both seemed very good options to me at the time.
Wilmington University's cost is very low for a regionally accredited school. The only thing I saw wrong with them is that all their cohorts for at least the next year are full. I suppose another thing is that they do not have professional accreditation, for those who care about that.
Although not AACSB or ACBSP … Wilmington’s B-school is IACBE accredited College of Business IACBE Accreditation - Wilmington University, nonetheless currently, only the undergraduate and MBA /MS level/s degree programs.
Thanks for all the feedback. I am not too concerned about accreditation. This is more of a life achievement/goal. I have zero aspirations to be a professor. I am a petroleum accountant and looking for something just to work on for fun to complete my personal goal. This is why I want a low cost DBA. I saw that Swiss Management Center offers a Doctorate in Finance for only 7,000 US. Any other place offer something similar? And non-residency?
